Precautions for Forklift Weighing

Equipment Inspection: Conduct a comprehensive inspection of the forklift, including the tires, brakes, lifting chains, and hydraulic system. Carefully check the weighing sensors and instruments to ensure they are not damaged, properly connected, and calibrate the zero point.

Cargo Preparation: Place the cargo steadily at the center of the fork tines. Avoid uneven loading and secure the cargo with an unstable center of gravity. Clarify the basic information of the cargo and pay attention to the characteristics of bulk and liquid goods.

Weighing Operation: Slowly lift the fork tines at a speed of preferably 5 – 10 centimeters per second. Keep the forklift horizontal. Record the data after the instrument reading has stabilized for 3 – 5 seconds.

Data Processing: Accurately record data such as gross weight, tare weight, and net weight. Indicate the weighing time, location, and operator. Check the data carefully and recheck it in a timely manner if there are any doubts.

Safety Precautions: Operators must wear safety helmets and safety shoes. Pay attention to the surrounding personnel and equipment during operation and keep away from obstacles.
